STR's not through AirBnB or VRBO

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking into getting myself a second home. A little cabin in the woods within an hour from my house. I feel as though it can make a good little STR on days I'm not there. Does anyone know anything about contracts or how to keep your house safe from damages and what not by a contract if not going through a site like AirBnB or VRBO?

Thanks!

@Jim Ziccarelli (great name btw) the majority of your revenue will come through Airbnb and VRBO. If you have the money to purchase a property, then you can afford to pay an attorney to draft a VHR agreement for any guests you get off the main platforms. If you want an example of what one looks like (this is specific to Lake Tahoe so don't just copy/paste this for your market), here's what we use: https://docs.google.com/docume...

Good luck and DM me if you have any other questions!
