This month we are fortunate to have a guest speaker discussing Hard Money lending. Bear Hegrenes will be answering all your questions on hard money lending. Including what is and is not financeable from a HML perspective. If you are looking to get your business off the ground but having trouble getting financing or just want to know how the HM lending process works this is your chance to learn and ask questions.
About Bear:
Bear worked for the man for about 25 years in the insurance claims industry, first in multi-line and then auto, leaving the industry as a Litigation Manager. He then took a position as the Risk Manager for The City of Mesa AZ in 2004 where for nine (9) years he administered the City's self-insurance program with a $3M deductible per claim, placed excess insurance for the City and did other "stuff."
In Real Estate, Bear jumped into the pre-2008 crash in 2004/2005 as a CASH investor in low end condos and survived the crash by staying rented. After converting his retirement accounts, including a small pension from the State of AZ into self-directed IRA's, Bear picked up properties in the greater Phoenix area for cash in 2009-2012, rehabbed, rented and sold them and has since become a private money lender (PML). Bear has been a PML for about four (4) years and works with an association of like-minded PML's in the Phoenix area.
Bear specializes in two (2) areas of private lending which he will discuss in greater detail - Flips for Splits and Buy/Hold Deeds of Trust.
From 100 Exit to McDonald and head West. Turn south off 83rd and it is the second driveway on the right, set fairly far back off the street. This is a community clubhouse not a house or business.
I will order some pizzas and everyone is welcome to BYOB if you would like a beer, wine, etc.
