About the Speaker: Chris Porto is the President & CEO of Smart Growth – a sustainable real estate development and investment firm – founded in 2014 and based in Oakland, CA. Before founding the company, Chris held positions at Deloitte in their Sustainability & Climate Change practice and at SunPower in their project finance group; where he helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for solar energy developments.
Chris is a full and active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on the small scale developer council. He earned a Professional Certificate in Real Estate Development from ULI. He is also a graduate of FortuneBuilders - a top training program and network of real estate investors across the country.
