WiscoREIA’s Kenosha Main Meeting Always Meets on the second Thursday of the month at the Parkway Chateau from 7:00pm - 9:00pm!

Hosted by: Russ Moldenhauer & Matt Hedstrom

Speaker:
Amy Farrow

Amy began investing in real estate in 2001. As an attorney, Amy found the day to day practice of law boring. With the birth of her second child, she wanted to be home for her children and not trapped in an office. Her most interesting clients were real estate investors, developers and property management companies. She began visiting their projects and learning about the processes of real estate. A friend mentioned that he was working on a house that he bought at auction and asked if she would help him. Next thing Amy knew, she was working repairing and reselling three more houses. Amy put her knowledge of foreclosures and the legal process to work and began knocking on doors of people scheduled for foreclosure sale. For the next decade, Amy learned all about the construction of houses and detecting problems. Amy has built houses, developed land, rehabbed over 50 houses, been a landlord to 25 units, bought and sold with seller financing, raised capital and helped many investors with both businesses and legal issues. But it didn't work out. There have been "a lot" of lessons along the way. Now Amy hopes to save other investors from the "lessons" by sharing her experiences and advice with other investors and learning from their "lessons."
