H.I.T (Houston Investment Team) is a central (inner loop) meet up for Houston Texas. The name H.I.T. was born out of the foundational idea that Bigger Pockets promotes and that is being helpful to one another and being a "team" to each other as we embark on or further our real estate investment journey.
This meet up is for distinguished investor and the newbie as we all have things to gain and learn from each other.
Our meet up will be held at the Frontier Title Company. They graciously allowed us to use their fantastic office and conference room with views of downtown and memorial park. Their won't be any sales pitches, guru bs, or items for sale. This is purely a meet up for like-minded people looking to share and grow with and through others.
Our October speaker, Nakul Kongovi, is a distinguished local investor. His current portfolio includes 19 multifamily properties and 7 single-family properties. Nakul's background is in finance. He graduated from the University of Texas in May 2006 with degrees in Mathematics & Economics. Then, worked the next 7 years on Wall Street within trading and banking roles at Credit Suisse, PIMCO & INEOS. In 2013, he switched gears and worked with 2 partners to develop new construction single-family properties. In 2015, he pivoted again to buy properties that were suited for 1st time home buyers (80K to 200K). At the present moment, his company, Realty Simplified LLC, has a purchase flow that encompasses buying 10 properties. Of those 10 properties, 5 will be buy, hold, and rent, 3 will be flips, and 2 will be wholesale. As cash flow, market, and project load change he will typically adjust his purchasing and strategy.
Please join me in welcoming and learning from someone with an awesome history. I know Nakul will be able to speak to a lot of your questions, ideas, and goals!
