Manuel, real estate is a great business and has many different venues to explore.  What makes it different than other investing - like stocks and bonds - is the business of real estate investing is in itself - the running of a business.  Not only do you have to know "dirt," valuation, analysis, Landlord/Tenant Laws, marketing, more - you need to know how to run a business.  The income from real estate may be considered passive but there is nothing passive about building and running a real estate empire of any size.  The first thing you can do is LEARN.  Take classes, read books, listen to Podcasts, and join networking groups in your community.  You will have to be 18 years old before you can enter into a contract so making an offer is not the most important driver at this time.  By learning the business of real estate first, you'll be ready to hit the ground running and leave skid marks everywhere when it's time to make your first offer.
