STR in Gary, Indiana

Hello

I have been looking at markets for STR and Gary, Indiana has great numbers in AirDNA. Any STR owners in Gary or realtors with clients who would be open to a conversation on what your clients are looking for. I know Gary has a rough reputation so these numbers are surprising to me. Is it going to last? Is Gary really turning around?

Like others have said, Gary is not getting better.

They've also mentioned the "nicer" areas like Miller Beach or Beverly Shores. Yes, there can be nice properties in there, but I find it hard to believe numbers would work considering it's not attractive to visit for half the year. When it's nice out, yeah it's brilliant. But winter - stay far far away.

I'm not into STRs at all, but that seems another red flag to me.
