Fox Lake Illinois Waterfront Short- Term Rental

I am eyeballing my first Air B & B in Fox Lake, or neighboring town, on the Chain O'Lakes. I plan to buy a waterfront property. 

Anybody have experience in this area that would be willing to jump on a call or tell me about how it is going?

I do not really care about making profit. Ideally I would like to spend sometime at the property myself and have the Air B & B tenants pay down my mortgage. I have a lot of experience managing traditional rentals but this will be my first Air B & B.

@Shawn Good, my understanding is Fox Lake allows STR but you have to get a special use permit and it's a 2 night minimum. It might be worth it if the property is already an Airbnb, visitors and locals here love boating on the Chain!
