@James Carlson yeah, as you alluded to, the world is different now. If a landlord wanted their place to be an airbnb they'd either do it themselves or hire someone to manage it. Why take the risk of letting someone else with no experience do it?

Also, $3k to furnish and apartment is a pretty bare bones budget. These days you can't just throw a mattress and couch on the floor and call it an Airbnb. The market is way more competitive and the most successful places do it right.
