Gulf Vacation Rental

Jodie DeMott

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a vacation rental property in Mexico Beach, FL. We live 3 hours away. Has anyone had success managing from a distance? Or is working with property management a no-brainer? Any advise is greatly appreciated.

@Jodie DeMott

I self manage 950 miles away.  If you want to make any kind of money, you will need to self manage.  Hiring a property manager will take most if not all of your profit.  Hire a great cleaning company and a handyman and you should be good to go.
