Catskill or Hunter, NY for STR
Hi everyone, I'm super new to real estate investing and am looking to purchase my first property for STR in upstate NY. I'm considering either Hunter or Catskill area, but open to other areas that may be better for STR upstate. What is the rental market like up there and how good are these locations for short term rental properties (I'm looking to do Airbnb). I have seen a few mountain side units up for sale by hunter mountain which are more in my price range. What are the benefits/disadvantages of owning one of these and renting them out? I'm open to all advice and insight. Thank you!
