STR in Lake Arrowhead,CA or Sugarloaf,CA

Looking at properties in the Lake Arrowhead area and Sugarloaf area. Anyone have experience in these areas. STR friendly? What should I expect? Same crazy guidelines as Big Bear Lake? Any information will help...thanks in advance.
