Neighbor Competitor Books Place to Leave Negative Review

Something interesting happened today.

A person who booked my place claimed it was too steep for their AWD to climb, which was a red flag to start because she should have had no trouble. A number of other signals got me suspicious. It became clear to me that she never had any intent on staying there.

I researched the names of the neighboring competition, and it turns out that my neighbor who also has her place listed on Airbnb shares this guests’ first name. So, I researched her, and the photos match her Airbnb profile photo. She simply got a divorce, and got to keep her husband's rentals, boat, etc. and this is why her last name differs.

Obviously, she is trying to damage her competition and that is why she chose to book my place.

How would you respond?

Wow.....I'd call AirBnB first and give them the info including pics. Did she go through with the booking and give you $$ ? People should just stick to their own business and make it profitable....
