Anyone using Stayfi?

Question

Im about to pull the trigger on their hardware/ service but was wondering if anyone is using them that could provide first hand information on the hardware their using, range, setup etc.

We have a large property and are using Google Wifi currently.  Id like to buy 2 of their

It's not that they're not able to connect, it's just that it creates distrust when the guest unchecks the checkbox to opt out of marketing, but still has to put their name/email in to connect.  StayFi should provide the option for the user to bypass putting in that info if they opt out of marketing.

If they opt out of marketing there's no reason to still require them to enter their info since we're not collecting it at that point anyway.  But then the user gets suspicious that they unchecked the box but still get an error that they HAVE to provide that info in order to connect, and thinks we're still collecting it even though they opted out.

We use and have had minimal to almost no guest pushback on inputting their email.  The little bit we have had we just give them the standard network credentials so they can log in directly and bypass StayFi

I use it in my 3900 sqft house w/ no extender and so far so good.  The house is two stories so everything pretty compact.  They recommended the extender but I tried it without it first and it's been fine.

Good product.  I just wish they'd listen to my advice of allowing the option of not requiring the guest to enter their info when they opt out of marketing.  Gotten a few complaints and one bad review because of it, but captured a lot of emails.

I have been using StayFi for over a year now at 9 STR's.  I've seen a nice bump in direct bookings across my portfolio since using StayFi and also took them up on a 1:1 session on how to setup email marketing which was a great experience and easy to do (they have great customer service). I didn't think it made sense to start email marketing until I had hundreds of emails but that's not the case. You can start the funnel with 1 email to start marketing and fill the top of the funnel as your grow your list. No guest push back on data entry to this point; although I have not yet tried the phone number collection for text marketing.

We've been happy with the service (tried a few similar services in years past that gave users with different devices various errors and complications, nice to see someone getting it right).  Like Andrew, if a gust objets we give them the password to the normal network, that rarely happens.  The login is very similar to what you might see at a Starbucks, or certain hotels.
