Unexpected rehab costs

Mary Peacock
Posted

Hello,

My husband and I are within a week of closing our first investment property outside of Savannah with great lakefront views. We are planning use it as a STVR. We knew that there was going to be some rehab needed, but when we had a contractor come out to give us an estimate it was substantially more than we were planning. The numbers still make sense to do a STVR, but we need to find more money for the rehab. Any suggestions to find about $55,000?

Thank you!
