Destin, Fl. STR Information

Hello,

Anyone that has an STR in the Destin area can you please provide information. I see homes and condos available in the area. What are the pros and cons of owning a condo or home in the area for a STR.? It seems that the condos are right at the beach whereas the homes seems like you have to drive to the beachfront. Thank you for any input.

I own 3 in that area. If you're going condo, it needs to be beach front. If single family, walkable to the beach. Golf cartable to the beach is ok too but if they have to get into a car and drive it's too far.

Surprisingly, the majority of properties are flood zone X, with a few exceptions. So flood insurance isn't often needed. unless you're buying a single family right on the sand.
