I'm searching for a plot of land to build Treehouses for Airbnb.

Can anyone share their experience in this matter?

Only qualm/word of advice regarding treehouses is that they are very difficult to finance. Make sure that whatever deal your looking at, you have the cash to enter, and realize your probably not going to receive back that equity + the gain on investment via appreciation, until you sell.

All the tree houses I have seen are on posts and not in actual trees.

I am not sure how you would finance that kind of project. No foundation usually means no mortgage.

Maybe a SBA loan?

Using real trees as the base? That would open up a whole can of worms with any building department, I would guess (foundation)! You will also have ADA issues with all stairs only access. Sounds like a cool idea though...the only place I've seen them is outside the US on Travel channels and such.

There are so many places here in the USA that offer treehouse rentals! In my state alone we have a number of places and even a "village" of treehouses that actually connect with swinging bridges. All of them would have strong pillars that go into the ground, so it's stable and safe but has a treehouse look. I would suggest doing a google search and see what you can find, and maybe even call up some people that have a successful STR treehouse or preferably a treehouse village. See if they would be willing to answer some questions you might have.

There’s a new str development being built just outside of Branson that is about 50% treehouses so it must a thing? (On 8x8” posts, not actually in trees.)
