Proper insurance rates going up 79% this year!!

SFH in rural Western NC I manage myself. No insurance claims in the 2 years I've had this policy and rented out via AirBnB, VRBO, and Booking. A couple of claims against AirCover that have been well-handled.

2021 when I bought the property, Proper was $2353.  2022 Proper was $2491.  Now they want $4459.

I know insurance business has sucked nationwide lately.  Anyone have suggestions on alternative  companies they love?  Given AirCover is reasonable at the low end, is it worth just increasing deductible from $2500 to keep Proper costs in check?

Just call someone else. Insurance is a never ending battle. Seems like I’m always calling a new broker.
