Smokies TN spring bookings
For my Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge cabin - January and February ultimately had similar numbers as last year, but at times it looked bleak. A lot of bookings were last minute (several same-day arrival). Now my spring is also feeling slim compared to last year, but I’m trying to stay the course and be prepared for last minute bookings to fill the calendar. I recall some Dollywood opening-induced weekday activity that hasn’t hit yet for me.
Have others had a similar experience?
Sidenote my Outer Banks rental is crushing which has caused me to shift my focus a bit from cabin to beach for the next investment, based on current market prices.

Wow!
So this takes me down memory lane. Several years ago, a guest by the last name of "Morgan" booked a large cabin with us. Several days before arrival, they cancelled. Of course, we don't grant refunds inside of two weeks.
So a lady calls me asking for a refund, I refuse, and then she proceeds to tell me she represents "Lorrie Morgan." She then had to explain that Lorrie was a country singing artist. I still declined the refund. So she angrily hung up.
20 minutes later, I get a call from Lorrie Morgan herself, asking for a refund. I politely declined (again), and she said "Don't you know who I am?" I replied "Yes, your name is Lorrie Morgan, and we don't give refunds inside of 14 days."
Only after I got off the phone and did some googling, did I find out that Lorrie Morgan's biggest hit was "What Part of No Don't You Understand."
How fitting.
