Has anyone else noticed a difference with VRBO?

Question

They used to not allow STR except in a separate home, right? I was just looking for a rental for an upcoming trip and noticed that they now have rooms for rent as well as an RV.

The RV was parked next to a guys house with a 'clothing optional pool' but that's another story....

Well, that's why I started this thread.....I noticed the difference right when I started my search. They used to only have these properties on ABNB, right? Maybe VRBO has decided to go after that part of the market....?

I can't believe that Tony dude!  He's renting 6 rooms in his house and the RV, he even calls it a small boutique hotel!

And the other one is listed as an apartment, so I don't think Vrbo knows that person is renting it out by the room either.

I just logged in as a guest and one thing I notice on the filters. The RV option comes up for property type, so it seems like they're adding that offering.

But the room rental search/filter option isn't there...that listing just has it in the title. I wonder if that's just a one off that someone is trying to do and as soon as VRBO notices that will come down.

They always advertise that you're renting the entire place when you rent with them, so that is a big change.  I just tried searching in Phoenix, and it didn't have the option to rent a room.  Guest house or RV, yes.  Maybe they're testing the waters and rolling it out in certain cities or areas.

Hey @Bruce Woodruff, I think it is a policy violation as well. I did a search on browser I don't use at all to check. I can't find anything else.

The RV's might be a different kind of thing than a shared space.

I know we rented a place for a few days that was basically an ADU on VRBO. I see the RV as the same sort of thing...kinda...
