Beginner Investor in Warren, Michigan first steps

Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to make my first home a rental property. I know that one of the first tasks is to obtain a licensing for rentals in the city. I was hoping to find some people in here that have properties in Warren, Michigan to let me know the process of the licensing, the detail they go into during the inspection, and other steps. The house is located right above I696.

Be careful though, of leaving the house vacant for more than 6 months. They city will red tag it and require you to upgrade everything and get a Certificate of Occupancy before you can rent it.
