Fellow Investors and Brokers , I am in market for STR. Looked at NC mountains, some area around Daytona Beach FL, Panama City, FL, Charlotte and Chapel hill area but prices doesn't support any cash flow due to high cost of rates and fees. Looking for experts who can guide me and get my first STR.

The lack of cash flow you see is common. Be wary of any broker promising you that you can cash flow in today's STR market. That said ...

In Colorado, I tell my potential investor clients that Airbnb and short-term rental success can look two ways:

1. Buy a truly unique property, design it well, install interesting amenities, and use a killer real estate photographer. (This Colorado STR is an example.) Or ...

2. Have a secondary goal of personal use that compensates for the lack of amazing cash flow.

I guess I should add that if you bring enough cash to the table, you can cash flow, but you're looking at like 50% or more.
