New to STR Management

I'm a pretty new investor. We just turned our old primary residence into an STR in Sacramento and are planning to self manage. Would love any advice on managing things while on vacation or temporarily out of the local area. For now we are just blocking those days but that's obviously not sustainable. I've really appreciated the insights on these threads!

    Congratulations on getting involved Lindsay.

While on vacation, I have a local friend or our cleaner on stand by for any emergency items. I've got most messages automated as far as welcome messages, check-in/out, etc. but I be sure to let any guests know that I am away on vacation, messages might be slower than normal & anything urgent can be sent to my temporary contact at whatever phone number.

Good luck with your new adventure.
