Do Not Use Bee Setups

Warning About My Experience With Bee Setups

I would strongly recommend avoiding Bee Setups.

I first engaged with Bee Setups in October 2025 to furnish and prepare a short-term rental property. During the initial sales process, I clearly communicated that my budget was approximately $20,000. Bee Setups' sales materials referenced projects ranging up to roughly $35,000+, which aligned with my expectations.

What happened next was completely different.

Shortly after the sales process, Bee Setups presented invoices totaling approximately $50,000 for my roughly 1,800-square-foot home. There was no warning that the project would cost anywhere near that amount. I had to scramble to come up with more than double my communicated budget.

When I later questioned this discrepancy, Bee Setups claimed that the pricing references in their marketing materials only applied to "essentials." That limitation was never disclosed during the sales process, was never communicated verbally, and does not appear anywhere in the contract I signed.

Timeline of my experience:

• October 2025 – Initial sales process. I communicated a budget of approximately $20,000.

• Bee Setups' marketing materials referenced projects ranging up to roughly $35,000+.

• Invoices ultimately came back near $50,000.

• Paid approximately $25,000 initially.

• While gathering the remaining funds, the balance increased again. Bee Setups attributed the increase to price adjustments, stock availability, and market fluctuations.

• December 26, 2025 – Bee Setups received full payment.

• January 29, 2026 – Bee Setups told me that all items except the hot tub had been delivered and that the project would be completed the following week.

• After January 29 – Additional items continued arriving, meaning that statement was inaccurate. I personally had to bring those deliveries inside myself.

• Throughout the project – Packages were left outside exposed to rain, requiring me to contact Bee Setups about the issue.

• Repeatedly requested a delivery date for the hot tub and never received one. Not once was I provided an actual anticipated delivery date.

• February 2026 – Even after repeated follow-up, Bee Setups continued saying they were waiting for confirmation of an estimated delivery date for the hot tub.

• March 24, 2026 – Nearly three months after receiving full payment, the project was still incomplete and Bee Setups had stopped responding to my communications.

• April 2026 – I retained legal counsel. My attorney sent formal correspondence to every Bee Setups employee I had worked with during the project.

• No response was received from anyone at Bee Setups.

• Late June 2026 – The project remains unresolved, multiple items remain undelivered, and Bee Setups continues to ignore all communications.

The biggest issues I experienced were:

• Pricing that far exceeded what was represented during the sales process.

• A later explanation that pricing was only for "essentials," despite that limitation never being disclosed.

• Poor project tracking and management.

• Inaccurate statements regarding delivery status.

• No timeline ever provided for major project components.

• Packages being left exposed to weather.

• Having to personally manage deliveries and perform work that I expected a turnkey service provider to handle.

• Complete breakdown of communication after receiving full payment.

• Failure to respond even after attorney involvement.

This experience caused significant frustration, stress, wasted time, additional expenses, and delayed income from the property. I made extensive efforts to resolve this matter privately before posting publicly, including hiring an attorney. Those efforts were ignored.

Bottom line: Bee Setups received full payment on December 26, 2025, failed to complete the project, stopped responding to communications, ignored attorney correspondence sent in April 2026, and as of late June 2026 the matter remains unresolved.

Based on my experience, I would not use Bee Setups again and strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Too bad that happened, so sorry! Curious why you just paid the $50k invoice when it was presented, and didn't stop right then? Never a good idea to let  a Contr. get ahead of the project (which means don't pay them more than they've completed).

Hopefully people read this and stay clear....
