Smart lock for Pella hinged patio door

Nick Benjamin
Posted

Has anyone tried to upgrade their Pella brand patio hinged door with a smart lock? My door has a multipoint lock with shootbolt mechanism. There is a small selection of this type of smart lock online. Some have negative reviews about guests not being able to lock the door from the outside. Some have no reviews. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with this type of smart lock for a hinged patio door made by Pella?

If this is not the primary entrance door I would just have the smart lock on the front door.

John nailed it!
