Sell timeshare?

Hey Everyone,

I have a family member that wants out of their timeshare. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get rid of this?

Selling a timeshare is one of the most difficult things to do, because there are a lot of people trying to sell it, and a few wanting to buy. But if you are decided to do that, you must be very well informed about everything!

eBay is filled with time shares for sale many for a dollar or less The yearly fees are the biggest reason Dont sign up for any of those time share companies that promise to sell your timeshare usually charge big upfront fees for nothing.

@Justin Tahilramani The home resort is in Orlando, you can also trade out your time for other resorts all over the world based on the day exchange rates. They did get their value out of it, but don't travel much anymore and don't need the yearly expense.

@Nick G. - Why did they get into it in the first place? It doesn't really seem appealing to me. Is Florida the only destination?

@Nick G. - Provide some details about the timeshare. Is it one where they pay $500/year in maintenance fees for a property that they can't ever visit? If so, you may want to gift it to someone that is going to die soon because nobody who is fully informed is going to sign up to be bilked for the rest of their lives.

The timeshare is with RCI, with vacation village in Orlando. To sum it up the current yearly maintenance and taxes are $900 a year. This will get you 2 weeks with a 1 BR or 1 week with a 2 BR.

I am still trying to gather more info on other details.
