VRBO / HomeAway Blocking Google Calendar Sync
Apparently VRBO / HomeAway is no longer allowing you to use your shared Google Calendar to block dates on your booking calendar "because many calendars from this site include personal events".
I get it... some people are dumb and might end up accidentally blocking their vacation rental when they have a dentist appointment or something if they sync the wrong calender. But rather than warning the user to be careful... they decided to disable that option all together?
Is anyone else out there using Google Calendar as your primary booking calendar for your short-term / vacation rentals? I've found it much easier to manage one calendar per property and sync it out to the various vacation rental sites than maintaining multiple calendars across multiple sites.
I think this is a MAJOR issue and would like to request them to consider rolling back this change. If anyone else is impacted, we should all say something.

They're the worst. Airbnb has allowed syncing with the Homeaway calendar for ages, but the reverse is not true. It's like they want it to be inconvenient so you will use them exclusively but honestly it just makes me want to use it less.
