Was drinking at the firehouse: took action—First STR listed
I found a 3 bed 2 bath house in a beachside municipality here in Florida where STRs are legal, and where the owner agreed to carry. So in the space between the purchase of the house, new paint, and getting “scared” that the sheets I bought wouldn’t be the “right” ones, I read as much as I could here.
It isn’t quite a month from closing, and the rest of the furniture will be delivered on Tuesday. I was up crazy late last night, trying to figure out the new dashboard at VRBO.
I have a live listing, folks!
I’m sure I’ve done something wrong someplace, because it is new and mistakes will be made; but I took action anyway.
The kitchen is older, so I’m cleaning with Murphy’s oil and am going to build cash and wait for a slower season to replace the kitchen.
I’m still working on my Welcome Manual.
PLEASE give me a thumbs’ up for ACTION and add a tip that will minimize my first-timer’s jitters.

Set it up to where you would be happy to stay there for a week or longer. That's how my places are. There is a little bit of my home in every STR of mine; kegorator, fire pit, pellet gun & pigeon bait, propane or gas grill, Netflix, adult movies, 2 sets of boxing gloves and headgear, artwork of scantily clad women, etc. All these things are blue collar male oriented. That's who my renters are, refinery contractors. Set your place up for your clientele.
