How much do you charge for Co-hosting?

What is the market norm (rate) and fee structure  when co-hosting someone else’s STR listing? The service would include helping a total newbie get the property live and then providing ongoing management (guest communication, cleaners, maintenance, etc).

It doesn't sound as if that person is attempting to broker any deals. The responsibilities you outlined are mainly what AirBnB itself highlights as possible co-host duties. As for percentage, 20-40% depending on the market.

You can also pay them a flat rate per week, semi monthly or monthly.  The going rate is tree fitty ($350).

@Brian Gerlach Co-hosting would be handling all communication and coordinating with property management, what you described is something like a full service property management. You can find companies online that offer this service for 12% commission plus some other fees. Those companies will also guarantee a minimum occupancy based in your area

That is the description of a licensed Property Manager.

As Paul said about 30%.

Emphasis on the licensed part.

You could get in a lot of legal trouble for not having proper credentials and acting as an agent for owner.

@John Underwood nothing is set up. Maybe co-hosting is the wrong term? If someone bought a property and wanted you to bring it to market (ie do everything needed to list the property) and wanted you to manage it for them (ie be the host) what would normal terms be? In other words, the individual wants to purchase an STR but doesn't want to manage it at all.

Didn't know people charged for this. I imagined this was for a spouse or family member.

Seems like if they already have the account setup and a cleaning crew, that is 99% of it and co-hosting shouldn't pay much  of anything.
