Who Provides Cleaning Supplies?

Question

As a Host, do you supply cleaning supplies for your cleaner (bleach, soap, detergent, etc)? What about vacuums, buckets, brooms, mops?

We provide everything.  My cleaning lady does it for free.  I also get to sleep with her.

@Chris Mury the only thing we supply is a vacuum. Bedbugs can travel from property to property via vacuum. Other than that the cleaner supplies his or her own cleaning stuff.

@Chris Mury. Bottom line is you’re hiring a new employee. In my market this employee will have infinitely more knowledge of this business than you do.

When doing interviews just ask them what they supply and what you will be supplying.

There is no wrong answer. Hire whichever cleaner you like the most and adopt their system.

$125 they're cleaning products or $ 115 my cleaning products 1500 square feet 3 / 2 seasonal rental. About 10 to 12 visits. I go to the dollar store at the beginning of the season and spend $20 that usually lasts all year.

We supply our cleaning supplies (kept in a locked owner's closet).  Housekeeper gives me updates as to what she is low on and I have items saved in Amazon for reordering and shipping to her.  Works great...so far.

Our cleaners supply all cleaning supplies. We only provide a vacuum and supplies to be refilled (toilet paper, dish soap/pods, coffee pods, paper towels etc).

Thanks, everyone! I’ll be supplying my own vacuums (thanks Avery) and guest consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, soaps, etc) and the cleaner will provide their own cleaning supplies (cleaning sprays, mops, brushes, etc.). We had our first cleaning on Sunday and the system worked well!
