What items in your rentals seem to walk away

Question

What items at your rentals seem to disappear most often? Mine is the cheap plastic hangers. Now I know they are cheap and not costly to replace, but a PIA to have to keep buying and I know they may break, but I've had the same ones at my home for years. Also I seem to have to keep replacing food storage containers. Guest must want to take their leftovers home with them.....just curious, what things do you have to replace  frequently.

Blankets and Pillows mostly. Not too concerned about plastic storage and tp. We plan for that. Buy a lot of extra storage containers at dollar stores.

So far, one waffle maker, a TON of Cascade dishwasher pods and beach towels.

I bought 2 extra waffle makers just in case, I only put out about 10 pods and buy up beach towels in the fall when they are 2-3 bucks.

I chalk up the towels to kids. The other stuff...well people suck...

Recently a hand crank can opener, a spatula and stuff like that. Some guests consume unbelievable amounts of toilet paper. (not stolen, used) I mean 1 couple went through at least a roll a day. Don't know if they were using it for "other" than intended uses  but really.

@Brian Oney Little stuff is just cost of doing business for me.  And most of the time I could not be 100% sure which guests it walked off with so its not worth the trouble - for the little stuff anyway.

Occasionally a DVD or Blu-Ray will disappear - on the other hand a DVD or Blu-Ray or Xbox game will suddenly appear that was never there before.

Wine/bottle openers and hangars, especially hangers. As far as tp, women wrap feminine products with it. The alternative is flushing them. I’d rather them be wrapped in TP. I have not left any notes or reminders about what gets flushed and what doesn’t like you’d see in restaurants.

I chalk up any items taken as the cost of doing business.  So far this season, we've lost multiple towels and a decorative blanket throw.

RE the food storage containers. Ours were always disappearing. I think guests used them to take leftovers home. That's when we used the Ziploc plastic containers. We switched to glass containers and… people so far have felt like those are supposed to stay. But people are funny. We had most of our decorative napkin holders just disappear. I guess they were cute.... We find as many "donated" pillows and blankets as we lose (but no, we don't keep the left-behind ones there).
