Destin FL STR Advice

Justin K.

Posted

This will be my second STR with my first being in Broken Bow.

I am trying to narrow down expenses as far as cleaning crews and how things work in Destin. In Broken Bow, you pick a company with review and off you go but it seems like Destin, with its large condo market, cleaners sometimes are part of the condo complex. So cleaning crew recommendations if they are not part of the complex is welcome.

Also, insurance. Best companies and who yall recommend.

@Justin K. - Congrats on the second STR! As an investor and agent in the Destin market, I can say that the cleaners in the area vary greatly in price and value. Some cleaners offer a full service, where they provide towels, linens, shampoo, TP, paper towels, and even minor maintenance. Others will come to clean, and you'll need to even provide the cleaning equipment, not to mention all the other items listed previously.

One isn't necessarily better than another, but I do recommend shopping around to determine which is the best fit for you.

Dan Morrow is a broker at All State, and I use him for all of my properties, except my apartment complexes in AL.  If not, Term Brokers or Affordable Insurance are solid options as well.

Best of luck, my friend!
