Your Best Yellow Letter Story?

Good Morning Everyone!

It has been a productive morning with 50 yellow letters sent, and another 200 in progress.

This morning, I'd love to hear any REI stories you have about using yellow letters.

- What has been your biggest lesson from sending yellow letters? Whether they led to a deal or not - what did you learn from sending them?

- If you have gotten a deal from yellow letters - why do you think that letter worked? Was it the ink color? A specific envelope you upgraded to? A fake "coffee stain" you printed on all of them? Hired a copywriter?

What was the catalyst that took your yellow letters to the next level?

Thank you in advance for sharing.

Taking these to the mailbox now.

Honestly I think the best way to make your letter different and to make it stand apart is to NOT use a yellow letter. So many people use yellow letters that at any given time your prospect could be getting the same piece of mail from multiple investors.

Bright colored envelopes and short and sweet content is the way to go. Also it never hurts to do a combination of handwritten and professional letters. Let me know if you have any other questions I am happy to chat more about it :)

We have had many, many good stories with Yellow Letters and have placed many houses under contract directly from our mailing campaigns. One story that I loved was a lady that called me at my cell phone directly (not though our CallRail numbers) and we set up an appointment. When I got to the appointment I asked her to show me the Yellow Letter she received on the mail and it was one of the first letters I used to send with my personal phone number more than 3 years back when I wasn't very smart with my mailings. Now we use CallRail numbers to track everything but she had that letter saved for a "rainy day" and it worked.

Dennis,

Hi Dennis - thank you so much for responding with this story. This has given me inspiration to keep going. I just ordered my first batch of mailers (about 1500) from a mailhouse this week - hoping to tell a similar story myself some day.
