House hacking with Grandma?

Julie Fullmer
Posted

So my Grandma is 90, I am the one who is able to take care of her. (I need to go move her out of her hoarder type house clean it etc )  We have been overseas for 3 years and are moving to Yuma in December. How can we house hack with Grandma in tow? We have to somehow each have our space so we don't go crazy.... Ideas? Heartbroken to see how bad her situation has become without family there to look after her ...

@Julie Fullmer, I think a small MFR, something like this, would be a good option. Your grandmother lives in one of the 1-bedroom units, hopefully paying you a little something in rent, you take one of the other units.
