Tucson Permitting-Please Help!

Ashley Vellon
Posted

Good Afternoon,

If you have experience with applying for/obtaining permits in Tucson, I would love to pick your brain!  We have a tight timeline to rehab a house that needs a permit that potentially includes electrical, HVAC, roof, plumbing, and adding a room/bathroom.

I have questions regarding:

  • Time to obtain a permit/start work
  • What work can be done prior to a permit being approved
  • The process for applying for the permit
  • Finding a person who is familiar with drawing plans for the permit that are up to code.
  • Bonus points if you have experience applying for a permit during Covid.

Finally, do you have the name of anyone particularly helpful at the permitting department who I can call directly?

Would love to chat with anyone familiar with this and really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Ashley

    Replied

I did a full repipe with Plumb Plumbing and they pulled the permit for me. All in all, they were okay, with speed being the strong point.
