Posted

There was a question on the Exam that had to do with Contractors license.  The question wanted to know when a contractor didnt have to have or use his license..

A) Work under $500

B) Work under $1,200

C) Work for a family or friend

D) Work on own House

These are not the exact multiple choice answers but I have had this question both times that I have taken the Exam and really want to know if I am answering it correctly...

Any help would be GREAT!

I am a licensed contractor in Sacramento.

If any work, both materials and labor combined ,  valued at $500 and below, you do not need to have a license to preform the job.

Any scope of work, both materials and labor combined, valued at $500.01 and above you are required to be a license contractor.
