Question

I hope that title is a good enough hook! I’m a 17 year old from Golden Colorado, and I have gone down the rabbit hole with real estate investing. If anyone wants to add hard working person to their team I’ll work for FREE! I only want to learn more.

@Drew Walters   Have you found the Bigger Pockets Money Podcast episode 257 this week Jabbar Adesada and episode 255 with Dan Sheeks?    There is a community for people just like you with ambition to learn real estate and financial education.... I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to pay attention to this it has exponential returns.

Hey @Drew Walters! Way to get started early, you are well ahead of everyone just in sheer time. What aspects of REI are you most interested in? Are you wanting to wholesale, buy and hold, or fix and flip? Where do your goals lie?

I would suggest thinking about getting your license when you turn 18 and just jumping right in. Join up under an investor-friendly team, or agent here in the Denver area, and that way you can work AND get paid, but also be around like-minded individuals and get started on your own journey quicker! With your drive and passion, you shouldn't have an issue scaling as a RE agent, and beginning to invest yourself!

I'm located here in the area, so hit me up if you ever want to chat. I have plenty of investors that could use the help, and are happy to mentor, along with myself!

@Tanner Sherman I’m interested in buy and hold REI in the long term. However, short term I think that wholesaling is a good way to learn the business and identify deals. As for what kind of work I could do for investors, I’m very open! Thanks!

Thanks for the in depth reply! You are definitely right about getting my real estate license when I turn 18. As for the work and goals, I am mostly interested in buy and hold investments. However, in the short term I believe wholesaling might be a good way to get out there and learn some valuable skills. Such as finding a deal, negotiating, etc.

I’m curious if you think that is the best path or if you would do it differently? As for the mentors and connections you have I really appreciate that and I would love to connect with anyone who needs the help! Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
