CO Ski Vacation Rentals

Hi everyone!

Starting our investment journey and looking to buy a condo in a ski area that we can use for our own family and rent out short term the rest of the year. I know there are new regulations restricting STR going into place around Breckenridge due to the housing issues for locals and people who work there. Anyone have advice on areas that you would avoid due to this? Specifically, we'd like to be close enough to an Epic-owned ski resort to take the free bus or a short walk. Is Vail a safe place or are they likely to follow Breck's lead with these regulations? Would love to talk to anyone who has experience or leads in this market!
