New Investor in Southeast Idaho

Hello and Happy New Year! I've been lurking in the forums for the past couple years, but I'm ready to finally take the leap! I moved to Pocatello Idaho during this past year to finish my degree at Idaho State University, and to pursue REI in this growing region. I'm currently househacking a nice little duplex here in Pocatello which has been a great introduction with a lot of "on the fly" learning.

My goal is to acquire small multifamily properties from Southeastern Idaho to Northern Utah, eventually scaling to larger multifamily.  It's time to put on my creative thinking cap as properties in this area are now quite expensive with rents lagging behind...

I'm excited to interact in this great community and meet some awesome people! Thanks for reading

@Alec Lundell Congrats on taking the leap! There is a lot of learning on the fly, but try to think with the end in mind. Like @Dale Desmond asked if you are looking to use a PM with larger MF keep that in mind. We all have to start somewhere and I think a house hack and learning how to manage is great for education but if you dont intentionally make steps to how you want your REI to be in 5 years you will wake up one day with a bunch of properties and a headache to get the systems you want in place. Way to take the first steps!!

If you have any questions about software to help hit me up I have tried a few.
