How do I advertise on the BP?

I’ve been a member of the BiggerPockets community for over six years now but haven’t been too active until here recently. August 2021 I purchased my first investment property. And plan on doing more this year.

I would like to promote or advertise on the BiggerPockets forums. I tried this already and my post was taken down within 24 hours. I was not aware of the posting guidelines but understand why it was taken down. I was wondering how do I advertise my business on the bigger pockets forms? From what I can tell it looks like I might have to be a pro member. Any help is appreciated thanks.

You need to be hyper local - I'd go to brokerages and hand out sweets (or fruit!) and cards.

Anyone can get a PRO membership and Premium are for real estate agents. Anyone with a PRO membership can advertise in Marketplace and there are other benefits. The key to Marketplace advertising is using keywords to trigger alerts for local people so they see the advertisement. Other PRO benefits include unlimited access to deal calculators and landlord forms like state specific leases.

@Joe Splitrock I was actually notified by a BP moderated and they did explain that to me as well. Guess I’m miss understanding the pro membership. I didn’t think I would qualify since I am not a real estate agent or a hard money lender. I’m just investor.

@Jason Victoria when your post was taken down, the moderator should have advised you that it requires a PRO membership to advertise in Marketplace. Nobody (with or without a pro membership) can advertise in the regular forums. When you place an ad in Marketplace, just include cities where you work and people will see it based on keyword tags. Very easy and the membership is tax deductible against business income.
