New Member, small-time investor/landlord from Minneapolis, MN

Hello BP community!

I'm glad to have found BiggerPockets after having stumbled upon the podcast while searching "real estate investing" on iTunes. ****Quick Tip**** (with Josh and Brandon musical jingle, haha!)... I really enjoy the podcast content, but I'm doubly excited to join the blog and interact with the forum community!

Currently I'm a small time investor/landlord, having started out in 2006 with a duplex, adding a single family in 2010, and just now looking to expand my portfolio into more fix/hold multi-family properties in South Minneapolis, MN over the next few years.

My main goals on bigger pockets are to network with more experienced investors, expand my Real Estate investing acumen, contribute where appropriate, and maybe even find my next deal.

Glad to be here and thanks in advance to my future BP colleagues and friends!

    Welcome to the forums!

    South Minneapolis is such a great area to invest in. I used to sell real estate in the Twin Cities area, but have moved to La Crosse WI. My friends said the market there this summer was hot and prices were going up. How is prospecting going for you? Have you been able to find decently priced investment properties.

    I'm glad you've found this site. Its got a wealth of information. Too much sometimes to know where to start.

    To get more familiar with the topics start doing searches in the search bar for stuff like 'wholesaling' ' marketing' 'rehab' 'duplex' and you'll soon learn who the big players are on here whom have the years of experience and are willing to share and give that advice.

    I'm a new investor/Realtor in the Minneapolis area as well.

    I just posted to a few other young professionals in the Minneapolis area about how we should start a networking group and have meetings in Minneapolis to share ideas and best practices. Let me know if you are interested.
