Newbie from Columbus, Ohio
Hello everyone! My name is Gary Timmons and am currently living in Columbus Ohio area. I have been lurking on the site for 3 weeks or so and to make me more accountable to my plans/goals I would introduce myself. So I am new to Real Estate Investing and have no experience in it....yet.
It all started when I got smacked in the face with the realization that I am getting nowhere working for someone. Searched on "How to become wealthy" found "Rich Dad Poor Dad", read it and BAM! found myself google searching "getting starting in Real Estate Investing in Columbus". I ran across Ben Leybovich's site and soon realized he had written blogs here on BP. Signed up found the Ultimate Beginners Guide (fantastic information), BP podcast (Best Podcast ever), and The Book on Flipping Houses (Best flipping Book (lol) by far).
Why am I here on BP???...I am here to build relationships, gain friends, further my education, and then become a mentor to others.
My REI plans/goals are to start flipping houses and buying some multifamily units for the ultimate goal of passive income. Leave my FT job and do whatever I want, whenever I want, with whomever I want.
Sorry for being long winded. I get that way when I am excited.
