Newb in the Nations' Capital area (DC,MD,VA)

Hi,

My name is Alejandro and I am new in BP, currently I am working on the accounting field in Washington DC. I found out about BP when I was looking for info to buy my first home ; Since the properties are expensive in this area (DC/Virginia/Maryland) I would like to buy a Duplex (preferably Arlington) and share the mortgage with a tenant (read it on BP). I could not find Duplexes in my searches, maybe they are not too popular in this area.

Any advice is welcome
