@Marian James Welcome! You should begin with the end in mind. What are your long term goals? There are lots of ways to build wealth in real estate, so you need to make sure you find the right strategy and approach that fits your goals. 

I recommend educating yourself with books, podcasts, videos, and conversations with more experienced folks (that aren't trying to sell you something). Go to local meetups too! Eventually you'll want to find someone who is doing what you want to do, then find a way to provide value to him/her without expecting anything in return. Most people struggle with that last part, but its very important!
