Beginner in Dallas (Frisco)
Hello All,
I've been a full-time IT professional for 17+ years. I'm married with two boys ages 17 and 13. I recently decided that I would like to start building passive income through real estate investing. Only a few hours after that decision was arrived at, I came across this wonderful website.
Over the past couple of days, I have listened to several podcasts and read some of the expansive BP material aimed at beginners. Buying and holding small multi-family rentals in the suburbs north of Dallas is the niche that I would like to pursue. My long term goal would be to replace my and my wife's incomes over the next 20 years.
Right now, I am using Bigger Pockets to learn all that I can and possibly find some of the meet-up groups in the Dallas area. I don't have a huge amount of financial resources at this time, so financing the purchase of properties is a key point of interest to me starting out.
