Hi everyone,

My name is Matt Rose from Vancouver. I am a married father of 2 boys, and I work as a 5th grade teacher.

My wife and I purchased our house 6 years ago at the top of the market. We've spent the past 6 years underwater on our mortgage, and are just now at a point where we owe less than the value of the house. We decided that instead of just selling and moving on, it might be wiser to keep our house and rent it as the value continues to rise. This decision has led us to consider taking on real estate investing as a side business.

At the moment however we are really just planning our goals and strategies. We want to be sure we are making smart moves as we begin this journey. That led me to biggerpockets as the wealth of information available here is incredible.

I'll be updating as we get started!

Try https://www.rentometer.com/. It is also just a guide but interesting for rental comps.
