New to bigger pockets and investing

Joey Guillermo
Posted

Hello everyone, I am a realtor in the South Jersey area with the ultimate goal of investing in my first property. I was listening to a podcast from another local realtor and the guest on the episode mentioned the community of BiggerPockets, which helped him acquire his first rental property, which then brought me here. I've been doing a lot of self-educating and being a realtor has given me great resources while I provide the service for clients to buy/sell. This type of "online community" is new to me and most certainly out of my comfort zone, so I'm looking forward to connecting, networking, and learning more about the community!

Sweet! Welcome. I did it the other way around. Started as an investor and now I'm an agent.
Don't be afraid to go to a local meetup as well!

Thank you! I'm actually actively working on that. I've experienced an investor's expo and now looking to see if there any meet ups locally to me. I'm also trying to confirm if investor walk throughs exist. From what I remember from the podcast I heard it from, it's where investors show you what to look for in a property. Not sure if that's something that is still done.
