Hi All,

My wife and I are Aussies living in working in NYC and looking to start building a Real Estate portfolio. We are thinking to start locally just for practicality as we are pretty much new to the REI game.

Our initial thoughts are buying a multi-family home (or two) that has good investment potential and has positive cash-flow potential. Somewhere that is commutable to NYC would be ideal. We are likely to stay renting in Manhattan due to kids schooling etc. We have a
