Jumping into a new adventure

Hello, 

My wife and I have been thinking about real estate for awhile now so we said let's make a go at it.  We are very new to this but have a desire to see if this fits for us.  We have been listening to the bigger pockets podcasts and reading the first round on books to prepare us for the road ahead. I'm reading the Smart and Mighty Real estate Investor, right now.  My wife works a corporate job, and I own a small live streaming business.  The kids are grown and mostly on their own, so all the money we spend on them is freed up now. We are starting from ground zero and looking to BP for timely help when we need it.  We see the community on this forum is very helpful and supportive which is what we need.  

We are looking in the Atlanta area or markets within 3-4 hours. We have interest in short, long term and multifamily rentals with some interest in house hacking and flipping.  

Any and all advice is always appreciated.

We look forward a networking and find our place in this community.
