Hey BP community, I'm a new member here and in the early stages of my investment journey in the New Jersey area. I first started my real state journey back in 2017 when I purchased a SFH (in Toronto Canada), but rehabbed the basement to a one bedroom apartment, making it a two unit home. We invested in the Toronto area as we are originally from there, but have since decided to remain in NJ and therefor would like to continue real estate investments in the local area.

Obviously, there are differences between tenant/landlord processes/practices between Toronto and NJ so I’m in the early stages of learning about those differences. Hoping to also find some in-person local events to attend and meet folks in this field. Relationship capital is key in real estate investing!

I’m currently looking for MFH (2-4 units) locally, but am open to properties in NY and PA as well. My plan is to start with a property management team (currently researching and meeting with some potentials), as I’m at my band width running after my 3 young kids.

Excited to be part of this community and meet you all.

Nova
